Isolated thunderstorms might be ongoing at the start of this period
along a portion of the WA coast in association with steep lapse
rates and a leading vorticity maximum embedded within a progressive
synoptic trough. A secondary upstream shortwave trough will move
onto the WA and OR coasts this afternoon accompanied by a cold
front. The steep lapse rate environment should result in up to
250 J/kg MUCAPE through a sufficiently deep layer for isolated
thunderstorms along the front as it moves onshore.
