...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...
...SUMMARY... Severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the
contiguous United States tonight.
...Synopsis... Water-vapor imagery shows a mid-level shortwave
trough over the central Gulf Coast moving through the base of
a larger-scale longwave trough situated east of the Rockies.
Weak forcing for ascent coupled with very weak elevated instability
may lead to a few thunderstorms developing later tonight over north
FL as the disturbance to the west approaches. A few showers and
perhaps a couple of thunderstorms are also possible near coastal
south FL and the Keys.
