...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...
...SUMMARY... A few thunderstorms remain possible through tonight
from northern Florida into southern Georgia, but severe weather is
not expected.
...Discussion... A cold front currently extends from southeast
GA into northern FL, and will continue to drift south though
tonight. South of the boundary, daytime head has led to around 1000
J/kg MUCAPE.
Strong southwest winds aloft will persist through the period,
with subtle height falls late as an upper trough moves across the
lower MS Valley. As the night progresses, SBCAPE is expected to
weaken, though elevated instability will remain near and south of
the sagging front. While lingering showers and a few thunderstorms
remain possible from northern FL into southwest GA, severe storms
are not expected due to limited instability and weak overall lift.
