...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...
...SUMMARY... Severe storms are not expected through the rest of
the period.
...Synopsis... A surface cold front continues to progress across
the southern Florida Peninsula and Florida Keys. Weak convergence
along the front in conjunction with modest buoyancy may support
an isolated thunderstorm or two before 12Z Saturday. Otherwise, a
deepening mid-level trough impinging on the West Coast may encourage
isolated thunderstorm development later tonight, particularly
along the northwestern California coastline. Farther east into the
Interior West, very weak buoyancy and deep-layer ascent ahead of the
approaching upper trough may encourage the development of brief,
low-topped convective cells, and a lightning flash or two cannot
be completely ruled out.
