...SUMMARY...
A few severe storms capable of gusty winds and marginal hail remain
most probable over parts of New Mexico and Arizona this evening.
...NM and AZ...
Scattered storms persist this evening along the Rim in AZ and from
the west-central mountains into northeast NM, aided by daytime
heating and terrain. Locally strong gusts and marginal hail remain
possible in the near term. Later this evening, although storms along
the Rim are currently moving southwest and producing outflow,
appreciable CIN exists across the desert floors this evening as
temperatures are down from the previous day. However, isolated
severe still may occur this evening across southeast AZ, ahead of
the more substantial cluster of storms and where CIN is a bit less
than farther west.
...PA/NJ and vicinity...
Storms across the region near a quasi-stationary boundary have
likely peaked in intensity as the diurnal cycle ends. Little if any
low-level jet is forecast to aid storms later tonight, thus, a
weakening trend is anticipated. Locally gusty winds and heavy rain
remain possible with the stronger cluster of ongoing storms.
