A few lingering strong/severe thunderstorms are possible across parts
of Montana from this evening.
...MT...
Early-evening water-vapor imagery depicts a well-defined short-wave
trough topping the ridge over southeast BC/northwestern MT. Mid-level
height field will be suppressed across northern MT this evening ahead
of this feature which may contribute to thunderstorms lingering across
this portion of the state, especially northern portions of the MRGL
risk region. With surface dew points only in the 30s/40s, PW values
approaching one inch may produce gusty downdrafts for the next few
hours.
