Thunderstorm potential is expected to remain low through tonight.
...Synopsis...
A mid-level low/trough, initially over northern Baja California per
early evening water-vapor imagery, will slowly migrate eastward
through tonight, reaching the Sonoran Desert of southern AZ and
northwest Mexico. A surface front will reside over the western Gulf
and extend northeastward to near the mouth of the MS River.
Negligible mid- to upper-level large-scale forcing for ascent is
expected over the southeast half of TX into the Southeast tonight.
Observed 00z soundings from TX sites indicate very low potential for
thunderstorms, while a warm layer near 700 mb sampled by LIX
(Slidell, LA) will probably limit convective potential over the
central Gulf Coast despite weak MUCAPE (800 J/kg).
