Silent Key
Terry Rushton VK7TR

It is with sadness that we let you know of the passing of Terry Rushton VK7TR on Wednesday April 7th.

Terry had been in failing health for some time. Several working bees had been held at his Mangana residence to maintain his HF

Terryâ€Ös wife Ruth informed Al, VK7AN that there is to be a private cremation.

Vale Terry.

NEWS FROM THE NORTH
Update for VK7RUN in Launceston

Whilst the outlook last week was gloomy and frustrating, RUN-3 has tentatively resumed test operations rather than being packed
 into a shipping crate.

Problems so far appear to be related to a temperature sensor, the associated control module, and information provided by the sy
stems supplier in regard to WHAT is to happen WHEN ... because it didn't, triggering a cooling failure shutdown as a result.

VK7RUN channel 3 is currently active [431.850MHz input/438.850MHz output] in the Launceston CBD under test once more.

New antenna and amplifier components have also arrived for VK7RUN channel 2 which is currently active [438.825MHz output].trans
mitting DMR under test. This traffic however may shortly move to RUN-1 [438.800MHz output] as development continues

As always, reception reports, questions or comments are invited to VK7RUN(at)yahoo.com.
