troubleshooting KPC3+ Yaesu VX-6r

Greetings,

I'm trying to get my Kantronics KPC3 Plus to work with my Yaesu VX-6r.
It works fine with my Anytone at-d878uvii plus.
Does anyone have experience with this combination?
I guess it's a matter of adjusting the volume and setting the squelch to the lowest setting.
Perhaps also the KPC3+ needs to be calibrated such that the two tones are equal volume.

Cheers,
David
