The subtropical and central North Atlantic is experiencing a sharp rise in
activity as the season approaches its peak:
Tropical Storm Kyle: Formed over the open waters of the North Atlantic
with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph (75 km/h). It is moving
eastward away from land, poses no threat to land, and is expected to
dissipate soon over colder waters.
Invest 93L (Central Atlantic): An active tropical wave located
southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands. The NHC gives it a high
probability (80éof becoming a tropical depression within the next
two days as it moves west-northwest toward the Caribbean.
Invest 94L (Eastern Atlantic): A second tropical wave moving
off the coast of Africa has a medium probability (50éof tropical
development toward the weekend.
