## 🌊 Eastern Pacific Basin Monitoring

*
* Tropical Storm Iselle: Located well out to sea (15.3°N, 114.2°W) with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph, Iselle is moving west-northwest away from land. It has no impact on the Central American coastline. [8]
* Offshore Troughs (EP91): Disorganized disturbances spinning well south-southwest of Mexico hold a 40evelopment chance over the next week. They are moving parallel to or away from the continent, leaving Central American waters clear of tropical cyclone tracks. [9, 10]
*

## ܠ️ Heavy Local Weather Hazards (Non-Cyclonic)
While organized tropical cyclones are absent, mainland Central America will still experience intense weather due to active localized waves:

*
* Tropical Wave No. 35 Impact: The arrival of Tropical Wave No. 35 will combine with the Zona de Convergencia Intertropical to trigger widespread afternoon severe thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and intense lightning across the Pacific slopes of Costa Rica and Panama.
* Severe Landslide & Flood Risks: Local protection agencies like the [IMHPA in Panama](https://www.instagram.com/imhpapma/?hl=en) warn that because regional soils are already at 70ater saturation, normal afternoon tropical waves tomorrow will easily trigger flash floods and sudden mudslides in mountainous areas. [11]
