There is currently no direct tropical cyclone threat to Central America over the next 7 days. While the region is entering its typical late-August peak window for tropical activity, both adjacent marine basins are clear of any immediate cyclonic threats to the mainland. [1, 2]

## 🌀 Atlantic & Caribbean 7-Day Outlook
The Caribbean Sea remains calm with zero active threats or tropical depression tracks heading toward Central America. Forecasters are focusing entirely on two distant features over the open Atlantic: [1, 2, 4]

* Eastern Tropical Atlantic (AL96 / Invest 96L): A well-defined area of low pressure located south-southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is showing active showers and thunderstorms. The NHC gives this system a high 70o 90œhance of development over the next 7 days. A tropical depression is expected to form within the next few days as it drifts westward across the open Atlantic. Global models suggest it remains thousands of miles away and is not an immediate concern for the Western Caribbean. [3, 5, 6, 7, 8]
* Central Subtropical Atlantic (AL95): A broad and disorganized low-pressure area near Bermuda has a 40o 50¦edium chance of development over the short term. It is tracking steadily northward to north-northeastward over increasingly hostile waters. It will entirely avoid Central America. [
